About

Welcome to House of Herps!

This website is home base for the new monthly blog carnival focused on Amphibians and Reptiles. If you like to read or write about frogs, salamanders, snakes, lizards, turtles, crocodiles, alligators, etc – you’ve come the right place.  House of Herps has been created to showcase these amazing creatures, as well as the nature bloggers who contribute posts.

House of Herps is a monthly carnival, with submissions due by the 15th of each month. The first edition of House of Herps will be held here at home base, as will each December edition. Hosting honors (and responsibilities) are up for grabs for months January – November each year. Monthly HoH editions will be posted on the Host’s site on or before the 18th of each month.

It is our hope that House of Herps will attract the very best nature blogging on the internet, and focus on raising awareness and appreciation for these marvelous and important animals. At a time in our natural history when dwindling biodiversity is a major concern, wild herpetofauna need our voices.
